Which profit tool for my shop? An honest decision guide (DACH 2026)

There is no single best profit tool. It depends on channels, shop size and whether you need accounting/DATEV in the same tool. This guide helps you decide honestly.

The honest answer to “What do you recommend for my shop?” is: it depends. Three questions decide which profit tool fits you, and whether you need several tools at all.

The three questions that decide everything

  1. Which channels do you have? For each source, check the current integration scope and data quality. TikTok Shop is available at NorthProfit for shops in Germany.
  2. Do you need accounting in the same tool? Compare DATEV account review, OSS reports and the tax advisor workflow in the current product documentation.
  3. How high is your volume? Compare order, shop and team limits with your actual situation; specialised functions can justify a separate tool.

Recommendation by situation

  • You are starting out / small DACH shop with a tax advisor on board → check an integrated analytics, DATEV, OSS and invoicing workflow.
  • Growth, several channels and ads → test data sources, deduplication, plan limits and server-side tracking concretely.
  • Analytics focus, accounting separate → check Triple Whale or Polar against current docs.
  • Large team with its own finance/BI role → best-of-breed is defensible if you run the integration yourselves.
The most honest test

List systems, costs, data handovers and required specialised functions. Then test with a closed period whether an integrated or separate solution creates fewer gaps and less effort.
