Choosing a comparison period (previous period or previous year)
Compare your metrics with the previous period or the same period last year, as you prefer.
On the dashboard NorthProfit shows a change versus the comparison period (e.g. “+12%”) next to each metric. You can choose what to compare with.
How it works:
- Open the dashboard.
- Next to the period selector at the top right you find the switch “vs. previous period” / “vs. previous year”.
- Choose the comparison you want; the metrics update immediately.
What do the options mean?
- vs. previous period (default): compares with the period of the same length immediately before. Example: the last 30 days against the 30 days before. Good for seeing short-term developments.
- vs. previous year: compares with the same period a year earlier. Good for judging seasonality fairly (e.g. December against December rather than against November).
Your selection stays in the address bar, so you can share the link with the chosen comparison or bookmark it.
