Connect a WooCommerce shop
One click via your shop URL, or manually with a REST API key from the WordPress backend.
Under Connections (“Verbindungen”, bottom of the sidebar) you find the WooCommerce card in the sales channels area. Click “Connect”; then you have two ways.
Way 1: one click (recommended):
- Enter your shop URL (e.g. https://yourshop.com).
- Click “Connect with WooCommerce”.
- You are forwarded to your own WordPress admin. There WooCommerce shows which access NorthProfit requests, read access only. Confirm with “Approve”.
- You then land back in NorthProfit automatically. No copying of API keys needed.
Way 2: manual (fallback):
If the redirect fails with your host or a security plugin, click “Enter credentials manually” instead:
- In WooCommerce: Settings → Advanced → REST API → “Add key”.
- Choose the permission “Read” and generate the key.
- Enter the consumer key (ck_…) and consumer secret (cs_…) in NorthProfit → “Test & save connection”.
What happens afterwards:
NorthProfit imports your orders including refunds in the background and includes them in the profit report. With the “Sync” button on the card you can reload manually at any time. Depending on the size of the shop, the first import takes minutes to a few hours. Details and honest time expectations are in the article “What happens after the shop connection?”.
